Meet Francesca.

Francesca is a journalist based in the Hudson Valley. She writes about all things culture: especially food, travel, and the intersections behind them. Currently, Francesca is the senior associate editor at Hudson Valley Magazine. You can find her work here.

She has a B.A. in journalism and history from Temple University, where she graduated in 2020 with magna cum laude honors. (Go Owls!) During her senior year at Temple, Francesca was at the helm of REFINE Magazine, a women’s culture publication, which received the Society of Professional Journalist’s national mark of excellence for “Best Student Magazine” in 2020. Her writing and editing also appeared in Philadelphia’s Grid Magazine and The Temple News. In 2019, Francesca studied abroad at Temple’s branch campus in Tokyo, Japan, and explored six additional prefectures, plus Seoul, Taipei, and Singapore.

When she’s not working: Francesca is, in all senses of the word, a maximalist. You can never have too many hobbies. Some (emphasis on the word some) include: reading lots of fantasy, getting her fill of k-pop and anime (any BTS stans?), hitting the trails with her hiking group, and lurking on Google Maps. She posts her favorite food stops and what she’s cooking on @cafefrankie. When her schedule and budget allows, Francesca is quick to book solo trips.
